Curriculum Workshop News and Activities

`

Background

The preparation of the curriculum for the Doctoral Study Program in Medical Sciences must refer to the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the Doctoral Study Program in Medical Sciences, Udayana Faculty of Medicine.  The mechanism for preparing curriculum changes is carried out independently by involving internal and external stakeholders and paying attention to the study program's vision, mission and feedback. By carrying out bench marking, bringing in curriculum experts/resources who are competent in it. Curriculum reviews are carried out based on prospective future studies with the study program's efforts to see curriculum developments, technology, innovation and issues related to the scientific field in society as well as adjustments to the direction of the latest developments in science and technology.

The mechanism for reviewing the curriculum in the Doctor of Medical Sciences Study Program is carried out in stages:

  1. Provide curriculum review procedure documents
  2. Form a curriculum review working group by appointing a curriculum review working group team through the Chairman's Decree
  3. Holding a curriculum review workshop involving various parties
  4. The results of the workshop recommendations were followed up by the Study Program to produce a curriculum review document
  5. This document was forwarded to the faculty senate for discussion and will later become a guide for students of the Medical Science Doctoral Study Program, lecturers and administrators of the Medical Science Doctoral Study Program.
  6. This curriculum contains provisions regarding the implementation of education, the scope of learning content and the learning assessment process.

Through this workshop, the curriculum book can be mutually agreed upon and will be implemented. It is hoped that the by research and by course curriculum books that will be produced will be able to provide policies in the direction and arrangement of research from the Udayana Medical Faculty Doctoral Program.

Hopefully, this curriculum review workshop will be able to improve the existing curriculum and this curriculum can expedite the educational process and achieve the vision, mission and educational goals of the Doctor of Medical Sciences Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University
